Underglow Strip Light Kit Installation Instructions

Tools and Materials Needed

- Heat gun or hair blow dryer
- Cleaning supplies (degreaser, alcohol and dry cloth)

 

Step 1: Preparation

1. Unpack and Layout: Unpack all the LED strips from each reel and lay them out as they will be installed starting with: strips in the front, 2 strips on the sides, and 2 strips in the rear. Note: Each reel package is labeled by size and location.


2. Mock-Up and Test: Connect the strips to your car battery to test the setup and ensure the arrows on the LED strips point toward the rear of the vehicle. Any incorrect arrow direction can result in malfunctioning lights.

 

Step 2: Setting Up the Magic Controller Box

1. Using the Flathead: Use the included flathead screwdriver to loosen the metal clamps on the Magic Controller box.


2. Wire Connections:
- Connect the corresponding wires from the wiring harness and LED cable to the Magic Controller.

Step 3: Setting Up the App

1. Download the App: Download the MagicLED app from Apple or Android.


2. Bluetooth Connection: Ensure your phone’s Bluetooth is on, open the app, and connect to "SP105E".
3. Configure Settings: Set the "Pixels" to "110" and choose "GRB WS2811" in the app settings. Browse the app to adjust colors, modes, speed, and brightness.

Step 4: Cleaning and Installation

1. Cleaning: 1. Wipe down grease and grime with any type of degreaser. 2. Wipe surface with alcohol. 3. Completely dry surface.

2. Attach Strips: Start with the front two strips. Peel off the 3M adhesive backing and apply the strip from the middle outwards, placing it about 1.5-2 inches from the edge of your ride. Make sure your curving your LED strips around the bumpers of your ride ensuring maximum light coverage.
3. Install Side and Rear Strips: Repeat the process for the side and rear strips. For custom rear bumpers, plan ahead and adjust accordingly.

Step 5: Running Wires and Final Steps


1. Connect to Battery: Attach the wiring harness to your car battery (black wire to negative, red wire to positive).


2. Route Wires: Run the wires from the engine bay to the strips, securing them with zip ties, and cable management mounts, keeping them away from hot or moving parts.


3. Heat Seal: Use a heat gun or blow dryer to cure the 3M adhesive to your ride. Keep the gun roughly 4-5 inches away from the strips at medium - high heat. If you see any bubbling hold the gun further away.

Wheel Light Kit Installation Instructions


Tools and Materials Needed

- Screwdriver (Phillips and Hex)
- Drill with bits slightly smaller than the included mounting screws
- Impact drill (optional for easier screw installation)

- Punch (optional for easier screw installation)

-Screw Hole Lubricant/WD40 (optional for easier screw installation)

Step 1: Preparation and Testing

  1. Unpack all wheel lights and the wiring harness.
  2. Connect the wiring harness to your battery (black wire to negative, red wire to positive). Connect all wheel lights to test. 
  3. Test the lights using the included waterproof remote or the LEDShow app.

4. Test the app, and take some time to get familiar with its functions.

Step 2: Removing the Wheels

1. Remove Wheels: Remove the wheels from your ride. For better clearance, consider removing the brake caliper.


2. Mark Holes: Position the wheel light around the wheel area and mark the drilling spots. Use your punch to mark starting points for your drill.

3. Drill Holes: Drill holes slightly smaller than the mounting screws.

Step 3: Mounting the Wheel Lights

1. Install Brackets: Use the provided brackets and screws to mount the wheel lights. Make sure to use a screw hole lubricant for easier installation.


2. Secure Installation: Ensure the cable is positioned at the top for easy routing. Use at least 3 out of the 5 mounting brackets to keep the warranty valid.

Step 4: Routing the Wires

1. Route Wires: Run the wires along your brake line hoses, ensuring they have enough slack and are secured away from hot or moving parts.

Rock Light Kit Installation Instructions
